Smrita Sinha, MD

Smrita Sinha, MD, is a dedicated gastroenterologist at Northern Medical Group Gastroenterology Division, with offices in Fishkill and Poughkeepsie, New York. Dr. Sinha is passionate about providing exceptional experiences for all of her patients, aiming to help improve their overall health. 

Dr. Sinha completed her undergraduate education in biochemistry and chemistry at the prestigious Cornell University. She then earned her doctorate in medicine from Cornell’s Weill Medical College, where she spent one extra year dedicated to neurobiology research. 

After her postgraduate research, Dr. Sinha pursued an internal medicine internship from Stanford Hospital Y Clinics, followed by residency training at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and fellowship training in gastroenterology through the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Since practicing gastroenterology, she is committed to advancing the field of medicine, publishing several articles in peer reviewed journals. 

Dr. Sinha is well-versed in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), celiac disease, liver disease, gastrointestinal cancer, and more.
