Poughkeepsie, NY-December 20, 2011—The Digestive Disease Center of the Hudson Valley, the area’s premier Gastroenterology Medical Practice, has launched its new website.
digestivediseaseny.com is a more patient-friendly–and physician-friendly website with nearly 50 pages of useful information for your digestive health.
The site is easy to navigate and allows patients to access helpful information, such as insurance guidelines, patient forms, useful diets as well as an encyclopedia of terms and helpful links to better educate the gastroenterology patient. In 2012, the site will feature a patient portal that will allow patients to log in and manage their personal accounts.
“We know this new website will make life easier for our patients—and for our area physicians who are referring their valued patients to us,” says Dr. Paul Burrows, a board-certified Gastroenterologist with Digestive Disease Center. “The more educated a patient is when they step into the office, the quicker we can get to work helping them get better.”
Among the website’s life-saving features are a highlighted section on Colon Cancer and Celiac Disease. The website features instructional videos for patients who are undergoing a colonoscopy and many of the more than15 procedures and digestive ailments the practice treats.
“We do a lot more than just perform colonoscopies, “ says Dr. Burrows. “We deal with everything from Hemorrhoids to food allergies to severe heartburn. There’s something for everyone on this new website.”
The Digestive Disease Center of the Hudson Valley is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of diseases and disorders of the digestive tract. It is the region’s only Gastroenterology group that includes two women. All of its physicians are board certified in Gastroenterology.
